book smart... although I'm sure you can avoid and get out of situations with street smarts, book smart would probably have a better chance of succeeding career wise. I feel in the long run book smarts will help make life a little easier. But it's no guarantee.

A Mixture of BOTH -- I had to be "Book Smart" to be able to EARN my UGrad and Grad Degrees (and my Certifications), but I had to have the "Street Smarts" to survive a violent, abusive short disaster of a marriage and raise (as a Long Term Single Parent) two disabled children to adulthood (especially after the Ex has Burglarized my residence multiple times, stolen vehicles from me, destroyed/damaged vehicles/my home, emptied my bank accounts, stolen my identity more than once, stalked my residence, and in August 2006, once again BURGLARIZED my home).
