I realy cant find a way to do it.

Hi! To Make a division sign (÷):
While pressing ALT,press 246 on the numeric keypad.( Number on the top keypad won't work). When you release your fingers from the ALT key you will see the figure ÷ .

If you are working with Microsoft Words you can press 00F7 then press ALT and X, once you released the X ÷ will be seen. ♥

(For Windows... I don't know about Macs...)

You can copy from the character map:

Go to "Start"
Then "Accessories
Then under "System Tools" click on "Character Map"

Go to the font: Symbols. In the second grouping of characters you will see the division sign. You can click it, then click on "Select" at the bottom. Then "Copy" and you can paste in any application.

/ is a division sign or do you mean ÷ ? the latter is alt+0247 in Times New Roman... or you can just cut and paste it out of my answer :)

in a formula it is the forward slash line /
for example in excel formula you would use 4/2 = 2

when using calculator, you need to use /. when typing them in word, you can use a plugin that gives you characters like sigma, alpha, and all those.

oh my gosh. wow. i thought it was only me who didn't know how to do that. i found out a while back. but yea it is the / key. don't feel dumb though lol
