can i upgrade my imac to mac os x tiger?

I have those old macs that are in color
one of these: http://www.supercomputersale.com/Products/imac.jpg
and it runs mac os 9 , but is it possible to make it run mac os x tiger?

It is possible but you won't like it. I would look at getting OS X 10.2 intead of OS X 10.4 for an older machine like that. Its just going to run very poorly with OS X Tiger (10.4)

You might find it running very slow because of the older processor. You might consider buying a new Imac G5.
