Your best bet is to use TrueCrypt.

Create on your hard disk a TrueCrypt volume slightly smaller than the CD and put your private data there. Unmount the volume and put on the CD the file that contains it.

For convenience, put on the CD also the TrueCrypt program itself, as well as an autorun.inf file that would automatically run it and mount the volume when the CD is inserted in a computer.

The link below discusses how to do this with a USB drive - but the procedure is pretty much the same for CDs or DVDs.

Easiest way.......
Use winzip/7zip compress it with password protection(explore/google it) and then copy to cd.....you are done
