Control Pannel > Sounds > and there is a checkbox there in that first tab you can select.

go to your control panel and if you're on Win XP select "Add/Remove Programs" if you're on vista select "Programs and Features". In the new window that opens on the left is a selection about Add/Remove Windows Components. There will be lots of different topics to choose from, I think it will be under "Windows Accessories". Note: Once you select something to reinstall, it may ask you for a windows CD.

go to your control panel and right click on your speaker icon and it will give you the option of creating a shortcut. Good luck. Mikie.
