US soldiers, fatally wounded in Iraq may be transported to US hospitals in Germany or the US. The soldier can then die of his wounds. If this death is not counted as a US death in Iraq, then the published count is considerably understated.

It is considered a combat related death. I t doesn't matter where
he died of the wounds.

There are allot of people who say they are not counting those in the official dead count, but I have no idea, I am not a war fan, but I think that would be very difficult to cover up.

It is. And its another death of an American soldier that didn't have to be. Dubya can put another mark on the wall for another death he was responsible for.
