For most mothers, YES, it is safe to continue nursing.

As long as your doctor says it's safe to have sex, then you should be safe to nurse as well. (Orgasm causes contractions similar to the ones that may be experienced while nursing.)

I've done it twice, but my nurslings were older. Be aware that sometimes there are supply problems during pregnacy, so keep an eye out to make sure your little one is getting enough milk since he is so young.

The links below will give you some good, reliable information about the safety of breastfeeding during pregnancy.

I've heard that it's best (for the baby in utero) not to, but I personally think if you increase your calories and choose healthy foods (which I'm sure you already do) then there is no real problem. Just make sure to get enough calories...breastfeeders alone need 500 extra calories a day...being pregnant only requires 200-300 extra, so add them up...about 700-800 extra, healthful calories a day and you all will be just fine!
P.S. My first two are a year apart--I found it to be wonderful!

Yes, it's perfectly safe. You might notice a slight decline in your milk production but since you are open to supplementing with formula...keep it up. It's a great way to keep bonding with your baby even though you might not be feeling so well. I had my sons very close together too and it's an amazing roller coaster. There are 2 full years that I hardly remember because I was so busy with them but now they are 6 &7 and best friends (as well as worst enemy's) and I wouldn't change anything!

Its safe but your breastmilk will change to colostrum at some point at which point your first baby will most likely wean him. My sister nursed her first while pregnant with second for a short time.

Yes it is completely safe to do that. The only reason that they will say not to do that is if you have a history of miscarriages. Otherwise lots of women do that.

Well done!! It doesn't normally happen. Make sure you eat very well indeed, there are a lot of calls on your body at the moment.

yes its okay cuz as long as you do not lay your baby on top your belly lift him up a bit. So all of his weight will not be on your belly but if I was you I would use a breast pump and switch your other baby to ba bottle with breast milk it will make it easier on you for one thing.
