The fact that he was so vain he wanted his conversations tape recorded for posterity. Had he not taped his conspiracy conversations, there never would have been any proof that he had been involved in the Watergate cover up.

Richard Milhous Nixon (January 9, 1913 – April 22, 1994) was the 37th President of the United States, serving from 1969 to 1974. He is the only U.S. President to have resigned from office. I still consider him Ono of the best presidents but surrounded by horrible corrupt and inept people i.e. Liddy and others.. but it was his lying about the Watergate that did him in.. If it was in today's scenario, he would have gotten by with it.
