Who cares if you dont speak the language... go out an have fun anyways. I'm sure there are other tourists around or other pple who somewhat know teh language... dont be boring. Take a risk and go drinkin at a bar, your bound to have fun!

Learn the language so you can communicate and make some friends. Make the most of this wonderful opportunity. Not many people get the luxury of seeing the rest of the world take advantage of it. Take some classes so you can learn the language and then you will have more options so you won't feel so lonely. I know nothing can replace the family you left behind but you have great things in store for yourself if you just let yourself be open to them. Have some fun!!!

Well Benny- You are in a bind. I would suggest even just doing sightseeing, going to museums, experience your new country. Take a class and learn the language. Your life is what you make of it, so if you want to be miserable for awhile...go for it! Then get off it and meet some people. It doesn't have to be at a club. Get out there. Life is too short!!!!

Think first you should tell your partner that you are feeling the way you feel, Speak about your problem´s ,your happiness is important to. and sure if you tell your real friend´s how you feel, they will make an effort to call you. Then look for a job, why don´t you give English classes, everybody want´s to speak English

i feel your pain. i have also come to a foreign country to be with someone. i also left my family, dog, friends and turned down a wonderful job opportunity. at least you and your partner are still in love. i have found that me and this guy are totally incompatible. we argue all the time and just totally clash. i take walks to wherever i can go and it really helps clear my mind. just think to yourself, that no matter how bad your problem is, there is always someone out there who's situation is worse. the only advice i can really give, is to keep the faith and know that we have been put in these situations for reasons that will oneday be clear to us. i really wish you all the best of luck.

I feel for you. I think it would be a good idea to learn the language too. You can make friends easier then.
I know you don't want to worry your friends and family with telling them how you're feeling but I think it would be a good idea to share how you're feeling.
You are very lucky to be with your partner. My boyf is goin away to Hong Kong tomorrow for 8 mths. I'd give anything to be going with him.

Go and watch a good movie or rent a movie and watch it in the comfort of your home. Another alternative is to go library and borrow a good book to read. Or, if you are really tired, vexed and nothing to do, it's best to sleep and recharge your energy.

Call your mom or dad and talk to them. if you feel like you cant then play games on the computer, rent movies and watch them, draw, do something that will entertain you.
