Because sick, violent, abusive paternalistic males have determined that a woman is an inferior -- and when the woman tries to obtain even the littlest bit of relief from a hostile situation (and she is little more than a 'prize' that can be sold to the highest bidder into a marriage that her family determines is appropriate for her) SHE is punished ...
The Males believe that the sight of a woman will put them into a lustful drive -- and blame HER for them NOT being able to control their own urges.

i did'nt know some woman got beatings for taking their burka off in hot weather.....hmmmm, nasty. but then, don't eastern woman come from very hot countries and still where their burkas? so it appears to me that the burka may not be that uncomfortable to wear in hot weather.....hence no beatings.

Sorry, I cannot talk about them sorry outfits over there and how they treat their women.
The last related question got me hid because they did not appreciate my answer even though it was the truth.
Their women get beaten just for being in the way.
I do agree and ask, WHY????.
The Muslim even teach their women won't be in heaven.
So, if our beautiful women are infidels where are the 70 virgins coming from.

Because these men have very low self-esteem. Imagine, the woman has to wear a Burka because the man might have impure thoughts. What a diseased culture

The control factor reigns supreme! We all have to have something or someone to feel superior towards and if you live on a society that demeans you personally, you will turn on whatever you perceive to be below you.
For men in such a society as Afghanistan, for example, to be proven wrong, as in the woman deciding for herself that she will disrobe from her voluminous tent, is mentally castrating. Therefore they resort to bully mode. Simple really!!

This is the reason I am against them being worn in our country.In most Muslim countries once women are married they become the sole property of there husbands who can do what they want with them.My Heart goes out to them & I sincerely hope that one day they will all be liberated.

Because they are ignorant of the fact that it's not the outside that matters with God but the inside i.e what's in the heart. I don't believe in this whole ritualistic thing of wear this, do that blah blah blah. God says come to him just as you are......................

WHOM EVER DOES TO THEM IS A LOW LIVE LOSER.
SECOND, WE HAVE THE RIGHT OF FREEDOM WHETHER YOU LIKE OR NOT.
THIRD, IF YOU WOULD LIKE OUT YOUR LADY FAMILY MEMBER(MOTHER ,SISTER WIFE,OR DAUGHTER ETC....)
IN THE HOT SPOT WOULD YOU STAND THERE AND LET IT HAPPEN?/HUH? BETTER YET YOU SHOULD WALK IN THEIR SHOWS JUST MAYBE YOU WILL CHANGE THAT STORY.
