Any good player at ND gets alot of attention
add to the fact that he plays for a former NFL Offensive Coordinator
who has multiple SB rings.
He is a good player but most of it is hype
He has yet to play well in highly anticipated game (one of Troy Smith's Strengths)
I don't think he plays well against the blitz (not at good as Smith)
In all fairness he is a very good and very smart QB, with a pretty good arm. He has lead a mediocre team. While smith's Team Makes him look good.
I'll say Smith is a better College QB, but the NFL is a whole different ball game

Mostly because of size. Troy Smith only stands 6'0" and Brady is something like 6'4". NFL scouts like "prototypical" size and Quinn fits that mold. Having said that, I think Smith is a better quarterback. Obviously he runs real well and can make most of the throws required by the NFL. He is a tremendous leader and if you listen to any OSU interviews, the players have nothing but respect for this guy. As for Quinn, I do think he will be a good QB in the NFL, but he has a lot of work to do. He has difficulty with his accuracy throwing the long ball and needs to work on his touch/projectory when thowing (especially on the run). But in time, I think he will be able to correct it.
Brady Quinn will probably be a top 5 pick, but don't be surprised if Troy Smith sneaks his way into the first round.

Brady Quinn is a more traditional quarterback. If you look at quarterbacks like Troy Smith in the NFL most of them haven't really had success (eg. Michael Vick, Daunte Culpepper, Donovan McNabb). Add in the fact that Brady Quinn has prototypical size for a quarterback and plays in a Pro-Style college system, makes scouts say that he is more ready to be a quarterback in the NFL.
I do believe Troy Smith will be a top 10-15 pick though.

properly with Oakland having the 1st %. and making as important investment in Aaron Brooks (no longer sensible) I gotta think of that they are gonna the two take the OT from Wisconsin or commerce down for extra possibilities and then Detriot is gonna bypass with the reliable %. of Brady Quinn. i for my area think of that Cleveland will take Troy Smith. save him in state and attempt and set up yet another Lebron type promoting scheme.
