Good question, easy answer; because there is big money to be made and the insurance and medical and drug industries have bought and paid for half the politicians.

First of all, I doubt that the USA is God's favorite nation. It's much more likely that the USA is Satan's favorite nation.
Secondly, the USA is not a democracy. It's a republic.
Thirdly, we're the only industrialized country without universal health care because the pricey lobbyists hired by the health care industry keep that from happening. Why would bigPharma, hospitals, doctors, and medical equipment companies want to dilute their obscene profit margins by allowing the government to regulate prices?
America is the richest nation on Earth, yet millions of our poor, disabled, sick, and elderly live in squalid conditions without sufficient medical attention or proper health care.
All because greed sets the standard in America....so I doubt that the USA is God's favorite nation. -RKO-

Hadn't realized that God had any favorites. Don't think that has anything to do with universal health care. There appears to be a number of sources where people can receive health care at no cost, low cost, cost according to ability to pay. It's all a matter of seeking the services, In New Jersey for example, there is something called NJFamilyCare. It has free services for children. Every year they send out brochures, etc. Yet a tremendous number of uninsured children (their parents) either are not aware of the services, or simply chose not to take advantage of them. It's like they never take a child to a doctor, but when something happens, they take them to the emergency room. People have to be willing to seek services. The US has many services, unused.

Oh, Larrry. You are such a clever prankster! Your silly question is designed to make people angry, isn't it? Good fun!

Surely someone as clever as you knows that God hasn't chosen the USA as his favorite. I'm not sure what you might be using as the basis of your assertion, but you really should read from a wider variety of sources.

And, while I certainly can't speak for the Lord, I don't imagine he cares much one way or the other if a country is an industrialized democracy or not. Actually, the USA isn't a democracy, either, but your silly question takes many clever twists to throw the reader off. Oh, you frisky rascal, you!

I guess I can't answer your question without asking one myself. Who says God wants the USA to have universal health care? If you can find someone who speaks for Him, I've got some other questions that I think are far more important.

This is so sad to me-even if we don't care about adults that need healthcare to live-you would think we would all care about the children. Unbelievable that we have children that don't have vaccinations! (20% of kids in the US still don't get the basic needed vaccinations). We are turning into a 3rd world country regarding healthcare. And ranking 35th, we are behind countries we think of as Third World!

Because our citizens aren't poor. We can afford our own health care. Compare that to Cuba. Everyone says that they have the best health care, but if you are an American and needed a surgery done, would you rather have in done in the US or Cuba? The whole idea of Cuba having a better health system is total BS.

The reason they have universal health care is because their citizens are dirt poor, since they are a communist country. Any money they make from imports goes right to the President. They would not be able to afford their own health care.

We live in a free country, and that gives us the freedom to choose anything we want. And that includes health care. And for those that can't afford it, they have Medicare which, I am sure, would beat the crap out of anything in Cuba.

I'm wondering how God feels about the people in Denmark that die of heart failure because all the universal health care slots are filled for the year?

That happened to two of my relatives over there.

Because we don't require it. We prefer economic freedom and a smaller government to a government that could easily become a tyranny. And we don't think we're his favorite nation either.

And props to Computer Jock!

The USA is devil's favorite nation

Your assumption about a favorite nation is absurd. Assuming he/she cares why would he/she pick this nation over others.
