when doing your splits why is it so bad to pull muscles in your legs? What is the effect of pulling muscles in your legs?

you can tear muscles and ligaments. Muscle tears tend to heal quickly *if* you stay off them and let them heal. Ligaments are less vascular and heal much slower and again only *if* you stay off them. I've always heard (when running) the best practice is to do a little work, then stretch, then do more intense work (don't stretch cold muscles, don't *push* cold muscles too hard).

Same reason it's bad to break a bone. It causes a lot of pain, takes a while to heal, and delays any process you've started to achieve the splits or any other flexibility goals. If you can do the splits but pull a muscle in your leg, chances are you will no longer be able to do the splits again until its completely healed.

it is bad to pull the muscles in your legs because you use your legs alot.when you have pulled a muscle you will be in terrible pain.

It is bad because it can lead to more seriuos injury if done repeatedly.

u might get cramps...try stretching it out...
