i know what you mean,,,, i find it works for me, if i find happiness in individual things,,, small things sometimes,,, rather then looking at the whole picture of my life,,, i can be happy with the way work went,,,, happy with dinner, unhappy with someone,,,, thing, all in the same day,,,, even when works goes not so well, i can feel happiness i have a job,,, not ill, etc,,,, also, one thing that helped me be able to feel happiness in things was to allow myself to feel unhappiness in things,,,,, to actualy accept it , think on it , etc,,,, rather then just seeking the happiness

Happiest when I was younger out with my mates getting ratted. That is the truth. Sorry, nothing deep and meaning full there. Now it is when I am on my own shopping and that really does make me happy. Oh yes and I will be very happy tonight as I am having a curry and beer.
If you are not satisfied try to make a small change in your life somewhere. It does make a big difference.
Think to yourself, what would make you satisfied, then try and go for it. Be realistic by the way, obviously Pamela Anderson is out of reach (if that's your thing) and being rich, well we would all love that. you get the picture. Hope you feel better.

I am never happy. Some say marriage is the happiest day of their lives...he got drunk and I had to deal with 200 guests...not happy. 21 years later I wish I never did it. The birth of a child. Yeah right. Most painful thing on the earth I will ever experience. People need to wake up and experience reality. I am never happy so that way I am never disappointed. Better yet get all buzzed up then you don't have to think about whether you are happy or not!!!

I know exactly where you are coming from. The only time I am ever really happy is when im on hoilday away from all the stresses & strains of everyday life,. But then I know it wont last forever & get the holiday blues when I return home.
I am still looking for that special person to settle down with & have children so until then my life will never be complete.
I living in hope!!!!!!

When I discovered that it's wise to be happy with my own self and not have my happiness determined by outside events or people. Others people and events enhance my happiness, yet I'm responsible with my own relationship with my own self and events in my own life. This may sound odd, but when I divorced and I was not dating anyone for a period of time...I took myself out on a 'date' . . . I treat myself well. The moment of walking myself to the door for a nice goodnight is not there when I take myself out on a 'date'...but I value and cherish myself. Dating comes and goes till that ' one ' comes along. In the meantime...treat yourself well even if it simply a movie night in. Be your own best friend and that will carry over to being a dear friend and love to others...thus more enhanced happiness and more satisfied with your life. I may not be happy with all events in my life, but I am happy with myself and those around me.

I think I can honestly say that I have never been completely happy with my life, but there are certain things / situations that bring a smile to my face - e.g talking to my crush, being with my friends, listening to good music really loudly. If I look at my life as a whole, then it gets me down, so I tend to focus on individual things, to stop myself getting depressed.

I feel happiest in my life:
1. when I feel loved (which is not the same as being loved...one is always loved, but doesn't always "feel" it).
2. when I feel in control of my life and I'm happy with my choices.
3. when i am calm and I think about all that life has to offer and feel grateful for it...because if you are in the right frame of mind you realize that life is actually a rather beautiful thing.

i feel like im always chasing after happiness. There are brief moments every now and then where I meet a person and they practically glow and it is so beautiful to watch I feel happy.
