yes, you should always warm it up for a few minutes before you put it in gear, your car will last longer and you will not have a lot of fix it up problems. My dad was a macanic/engineer at GM.

Not really bad, but let it run for a few moments to let the oil pump get oil to the top of the motor. If you are driving the car in very cold weather, it will also use more gas as the engine is burning rich to try and warm up faster.

Certain vehicles might still require a warm up. Many years ago it was necessary to warm up your car before driving it. The engine blocks were huge and fluid lines ran lengthy distances to components. The small front wheel cars usually don't need much warming up because everything is compact, in the front and the fluids don't really have far to travel. If the temps are really below freezing you might want to warm it up for awhile just to have it warm inside before you get in. The main thing is to make sure that you have the proper oil viscosity and coolant for frigid temperature regions.

It isn't bad,but if you need to defrost your windows you can let the defroster run while the engine warms up and it will help remove ice if you need to scrape the windows.
Other than that, its a gas waster.

you never rev a cold engine and it has been proven that warming up you car does one thing, it wastes gas. always wait for 30 seconds or so for your tranny to get lubed before you go into gear and it will last longer
