I'm a highschooler and we're having a semiformal. I goto all girls school,
so we're having a semiformal with this other all boys school.
Semi-formal is the dress code..
other girls say they're gonna wear a skirt and a fancy top, or a dress with leggings.
Is denim skirt with tights ok?
is that too casual?
what do i wear on the top?? I was thinking halter but i don't think that's semi-formal.

Denim skirts are WAY too casual. I'd buy either a solid-color, knee length dress, or a nice skirt (one you'd be able to wear to a formal party) and a cute top. Halter is probably also too casual.

Not a denim skirt, try something else, OK? A halter is not a good plan if you plan on dancing. I had a woman at my wedding who wore one and, well, there was a lot more exposed than she intended. Try something lacy or maybe a georgette top. If it's in the next month or two, a real dress or a velvet skirt and georgette top would be good. Curly hair is good for a dance and so is pulling it up. Bottom line, have fun and do what feels right to you!

Denim skirt is definitely too casual. Try wearing a prettier skirt, and with that a halter top is probably fine. Or you can wear a halter dress or something of the type, but skip the tights, they look tacky.

Okay, skip the leggings totally ( they are going out of syle and guys think they are weird and when you dance they fall down) and a denim skirt is to casual. Any of those dresses would be really cute!
For hair you should:
1. Scrunch it - easy just add gel and scrunch away!
2. Take and large barrel curling iron and curl your hair:

3.Straighten it and wear it 1/2 up 1/2 down with a ribbon in your hair!

dont wear denim skirt! waay to casual. like the other girls are doing, you can wear a cute dress or just a nice skirt and a top. when they say "SEMI-formal," it is like in between.
for your hair, i would say loose curls but if you have shorter hair, straighten it and flip it under!

halter tops are nice, they show off your shoulders. Maybe a flowery flowy kind of skirt that matches the halter tops' color.

a white halter dress.
and put your hair in a half ponytail.
itll look gorgeous but not to formal!!
the hair style could work fro straight wavy or curly hair!!
do your makeup the same.
