Next time you get attacked, if you have none of those other good suggestions on you, here are some things: If the dog has a bite, hold your hand over it's nose TIGHT. The dog uses it's nose to breathe while it holds the bite. If it cant breathe, it'll likely let go...or pass out. Pick the dog up by the back of the legs and hang it there. If possible, as far away from you as you can. This will prevent the dog from further injuring you or others or attacking again. Break the tail. I know this sounds harsh, but if all else failed this is what I would do. I know Bully breeds can tolerate a greater amount of pain, but I dont suspect it'll be able to ignore that. If those things failed, I would end the other dog. I agree with the poster above me. Attacking my dog beyond simple removal = death. I wont go into detail about how to do it.

Gout is a condition where uric acid crystals build up in the body.
This can happen in the area of the big toe and cause a lot of pain.
Our foods contain purines; some foods are higher in this than others.
The doctor may place you on a lower purine diet (of which they will usually provide you a list of foods to avoid. There is also medications that can lower the uric acid in the blood

The main supplement that seems to help during an acute attack is bromelain.
Cherry extract, vitamin C, and nettle may be the simplest regimen to follow for long-term maintenance.
Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to dilute the urine and help lower uric acid levels. Stay away from alcohol, which can trigger attacks.
Keep weight down. Obesity may play an important role in gout attacks.
Avoid fats, refined carbohydrates, excess protein, and, if you're sensitive to purines, foods containing them (including organ meats, anchovies, legumes, oatmeal, spinach, asparagus, cauliflower, and mushrooms).
One of the oldest known remedies for gout -- a drug called colchicine -- is derived from the autumn crocus, also known as meadow saffron. Unfortunately, colchicine in pill form causes severe cramping and diarrhea in up to 80% of those who take it in the high doses needed to combat gout attacks. An injectable form of colchicine administered by your doctor, however, appears to work quickly and without side effects.
Eating fresh or canned cherries (a half pound a day) may help keep gout at bay by reducing levels of uric acid. Some people swear by them; and a small study conducted many years ago found that eating cherries may indeed lower uric acid levels.
An easier way to get the benefits of cherries is to take 1,000 mg daily of cherry fruit extract pills (available at health-food stores). Strawberries, blueberries, celery, or celery seed extracts may have a similar beneficial effect.

To remedy gout, you need to remove the uric acid from your system. This can be done with phytonutrients, anti-oxidants, flavenoids and polysaccharides. It will turn your blood from acidic to alkaline, which will remedy the gout.

Yep.
Tart (or black) Cherry Juice.
They flush out and lower uric acid in the blood which is what causes gout.
You can buy concentrate in capsules, drink the juice or eat the fruits (fresh is better).
Best price on the caps is at the site below.
Enjoy!

This is how it works for me...
Alcohol prevents uric acid from leaving your body
rich foods and red meat create uric acid in your body...
I've cut down on drinking and when I do drink I make sure I don't eat some specific foods that day.
I haven't had an attack in about 10yrs by doing this.
