Carroll O'Connor without a doubt. He is the best actor i have seen in those times. All in the Family was the best! i love it. He deserves it more than anyone else. ARCHIE! said Edith lol bringing back beautiful memoirs.

Alan Alda - I think he shows the most range out of these characters. The other guys are all really one note characters.

assuming we just left Vietnam and i were a holly wood liberal then Alan alda because mash was about the Korean war but was made as a symbol of the Vietnam war!
