I've heard many people saying it's a horrible song... I heard it long ago, and I didn't understand the lyrics. It's been so long that now I don't even remember it! Please refresh my memory, ok? Thanks!

Because its a metaphor of conciet...refering to jefferson airplane...and the traffic report in the middle of the song didnt help it either.

i think a big part of it was they were selling out.the song is very commercial sounding compared to early star-ship when Jerry Garcia of the grateful dead helped with there albums. The star-ship formed from the Jefferson airplane so i think alot of it could be pure disappointment
