If you already have a farm and need a house, you can build one for a lot less then 80,000 - if you get a planning permission.
If you just want to invest try buying a parking space in Central London.
Or: go abroad.
In Norway house prices rose by 200% the last 10 years.
In Germany you can buy houses in Eastern Germany from 8,000 Euros onwards .... a good one ready to move in and one that will look nice will be 30-50,000 Euros though (20,000-35,000 pounds).
For 80,000 pounds (120,000 Euros roughly) you can get a decent house in many areas in Germany unless in town centers of big cities.
The same applies to France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and lots of other countries.
Countries that are even cheaper: Bulgaria, Poland, Czech republic....
Croatia used to be cheap too...but house prices multiplied by 5 almost the last 10 years.
Sweden is still really cheap. About 50,000 Euros will buy you a nice house including a lake if you look long enough.
Canada is also damn cheap..
Tthe USA too, but the dollar is weak and you might loose half your money the next 10 years due to the dollar becoming weaker and weaker. (And Florida has high hurricane insurances).
If you want to stay in the UK you could do the following:
Find 10 friends who want to do the same and everyone of you buys a really cheap house in a run-down sleazy area. Then you all refurbish the houses and make that area cool. Once the area is hip, house prices climb.....

In the south you can't get a caravan for less than £150,000. Move up north where people are kinder and beer is darker and houses are cheaper and you might be able to afford a house for £80,000.

you will be lucky. my mate has a 2 bed flat in Harlow in Essex and he had to pay £210,000 for it. Your money won't get you far. The average house price in Britain at the moment it £170,000.
Good luck anyway

You'd be lucky to get an outside toilet for that price these days.
