i had the same problem....
i had this guy best friend whom i'd known since second grade, and we were practically inseperable, but our relationship had never gotten far further than that.
but i liked him...
so then once when we went to eat lunch together (you know, just friendly), i pretended to go to the bathroom, then, in the bathroom, i IMed him: "I like you... in a different way then you think." And then when i came back, i acted all normal, and he acted all normal, and i thought... "oh shoot he doesn't like me." but then he stood up to go to the bathroom too and what do you know? he sent me a text message: "Me too."
I was SOOO happy.
Now, I'm not saying this is the best method, there are lots of others ways; don't take other people's advice, just follow your own heart.... this was just a suggestion..

I have the same problem rigt now my best friend really likes me. He asked me out. I have this other guy i'm sort of seeing but when he said this i think I fell in love with him"____ Lately I've been thinking about you. Your jokes, smile, and being so easy to talk to you. And the truth is there's no other girl in the world i'd rather like. ____ i love you!!! The he kissed me. Never before have I thougth of him as a boyfriend but now i love it. Best chance she really likes you but doesn't realize because she thinks you just want to be friends. Take the chance it can be the romance novel of your life!!!

Since he's your friend then you should feel comfortable talking to him.Pull him aside and ask him in person. If he says no then just keep on being his friend and forget that you asked him. Im sure it will work out for the best!

I think u shoul tell him, but If u dont fell comfortable then write him a letter, but let him know how u feel.If he dont like u ask if yall can still B friends.Trust me that can change yo life, if u tell him.

U DONT KEEP IT AS FRIENDS !! IF U START DATING AND U GET INTO IT AND BREAK UP U WILL LOOSE U FRIENDSHIP TRUST IT WILL NEVER WORK . DON'T LOOSE A FRIEND OVER LUST OK KEEP IT REAL & KEEP YOUR FRIEND U MIGHT B MAD AT HIM 4 HAVING OTHERS GIRLS ,BUT THE BEST THING U CAN HAVE IS A GOOD FRIEND

Tell him by starting a conversation and then go on to that slower. Talk about relationships and then he might lead you on.

first of all, deres 50/50 chance dat itll mess up ur friendship.if ur willin 2 take da risk den, my advice to u.first of all, make ur move SLOWLY. say stuff like i like ur shirt etc. dn make ur move sayin i like u. but b4 dat, ask him do u like me to x2 if he does like u. if not, i tried.
