Yes... the doctor recommends 6 to 8 weeks after C section, as a healing time because you just had a major surgery. This is because you have to make sure everything is alright and you do not get an infection. Plus it is to give the stretched uterus time to shrink and go back to it's normal size. Just be careful because woman are very, very, fertile after having a baby. Take Care... congratulations on being a mom

I had a c-section and we waited the full 8 weeks, since you're well past that you should be okay. The important thing is to know your body and know it's limits, just because you might feel fine right now doesn't mean you'll feel fine while having sex, your body has to heal from the inside. So listen to your body and you'll be fine. If you're nervous that's normal, talk to your doctor and he/she should be able to help you. Congrats on the baby!

do you feel ready? If you answer yes.. then becareful but have at it.. if you answer no.. then don't. Its all about how you feel. Everyones body heals differently. I wasn't able to for 6 months after my c-section... but I had alot of complications with mine.

I would wait until the doctor gives you the all clear. You have stitches on the inside and you need to make sure you have healed completely. Sometimes if you do too much you may cause internal bleeding which will cause adhesions. Call your doctor.

You sure can have sex. The usual wait for vaginal births is 6 wks. and sometimes less for C-section as long as their is no complications and you are feeling well enough.

Surely the dr has released you. If you've been released, you're fine.
