my sister and I are both tall (im 15 and 5ft 11.5, she is 12 and 6ft) and everywhere we go we get weird looks and clothes are a problem even though we aren't huge. When people laugh at us for being 'too tall' are they right or am i paranoid?

Yes everything is akward at 15 and you second guess everything whether it is normal. Right now you are taller than most of your friends and some guys in school. I know this my not help, but most successful people after graduation are taller. Plus grown men go crazy over tall women. You said you arent huge so I assume you are thin. So yes you are very lucky to be tall and thin. You might not like it now, but you will love it later.

Plus here is some advice. If you act like you are confident with your heighth and the way you look and more importantly who you are. Everyone else will believe feel that way too.

If you act insecure and not sure, no one will be sure either.

Be happy with your sexy self. I am the oposite I am five foot and an adult so I am not growing any more. So I found that I love being petite and I even love my size 5 feet. It was hard in high school every one treated me like I was younger and it was hard to date guys in my grade cuz I looked younger. Now I love being small framed and looking and feeling young.

what I am getting at is high school is tough and after high school your heighth will be a bonus and all the weird looks that you think you are getting will turn into thoughts of "Ya you know it, I have it going on" and you will smile at those looks.

You are sexy model tall!! Brag about it!! dont be shy!! Go to a model search.

Most Pro basketball players and football players only date and marry tall women. Plus you are fifteen and most girls stop growing at your age. So yes again you are lucky to be tall.

I'm only concerned about how you feel there is such a thing as "too tall." It does mean that you are probably more comfortable with tall men, but so what? Lots of women are looking at only a subset of the male population, and their reasons may not be nearly as good as yours.

It's a little scary, however, to contemplate the fact that at age 12, your sister is probably going to be even taller before she's done growing. She may have to accept a man an inch or two shorter than her, but then so may you. Mother Nature will pick out the guy for you if you give her a chance. He will be the one with enough confidence to flirt with such a magnificent specimen, but not arrogant enough to annoy you. That's a rather neat trick, you must admit.

Face it, tall women can be very elegant and graceful if they want to be.

I'm 14 and I'm 5 feet 10.5 inches, and I don't think I am too tall. You should be proud of being tall, you can intimidate people and take charge. Ever since I started elementary school I have been told I should be a model because of my height. And once you get out of highschool, people will wish they were as tall as you two. Just look for a tall guy.
Hint: a good place to get pants and jeans is alloy.com. they make inseams up to 37 inches in all sizes.

nothing is ever too tall, what do those people know. You and your sister are really tall, not to tall. They are probably just jealous and intimidated by you all. Most of the people in my family are tall (I am not, I am 5ft 6 or 7). I used to be kind of short. It seems that people always have to have something to say to a person.

You are the height that you are and you can't change it so you might as well embrace it. Stand tall and be proud. Most models have to be tall. When you find clothes that fit, they hang great on a tall person. Take it from someone who is pretty short. I always look frumpy cause clothes are too long for me. People are cruel. They make fun of things they don't understand. They make fun of peoples' differences to make themselves feel better about their own shortcomings.

You are model height, plus you will be the queen in the WNBA. Take advantage of your height...I want to be a model and I can't because I'm only 5'4.

People have different body types and heights. It is unique for a 15 year old to be 5'11 (or a 12 year old to be 6'0), so people will look at you funny. But, I bet millions are begging for your height, like my friend that is taking calcium pills so she can make the basketball team.

P.S. You are not too tall.

Not at all. I'm only 5'3" and I would love to be a little taller. Bodies come in all shapes, sizes, and heights. There are a lot of clothes you guys can wear because of your height that other people could never get away with. As long as your comfortable with your own body, it really doesn't matter what other people think.

No--I am female, 5ft 9in. My mother is 6ft. Two of my sisters are 6ft 2in and 6ft respectively. At one time, I worked with two sisters who were models. One was 6ft 4in and the other was 6ft 2in.
Let people look and you should STAND TALL and proud.

You can't let people get u down. U are beautiful in ur own way and who cares if ur too tall don't pay no mind to them. People will talk all their lives and it will hurt u sometimes but don't let it bother u. Keep ur head up high and walk away. Keep a positive attitude.

I'm a guy and I'm only 5-8 , am I too short? Would you date (I'm too old for you.) a guy that short? See if you are too tall, then I must be too short. No, its fine. It makes no difference. There is no such thing as too tall or too short. Its just a stereotype.
