Ok....before I ask this,I'm going to clarify that this is NOT intended to be racist in any way shape or form.If the "victims" in this case are seeking money in this case.....Is it ok for white people to sue black comedians such as Chris Rock and Dave Chappele for using the term "whitey" and "cracka"?...again...I'm just looking for insight and I am NOT trying to be racist in any way shape or form.

I think it's offensive and I wonder if Carlos Mencia had used it, would anyone have said anything. He is deroggatory to all races.
And the fact that African Americans can use the term in rap music and call each other by that term and that's ok is beyond me.
However, the fact remains it IS a racist term that was used widely by racist groups, and it shouldn't be used at all. By anyone else, African Americans included.

If I were RIchards, I would find every clip and song that used the word and replay it to Jesse Jackson. This is not an excuse for what Richards did, but Jackson can't throw stones until he throws them first at his own race.

he's racist... if he used the word in a skit or as part of his act as Chris rock and Dave Chapelle do, it would have come as a shock, but he wouldn't be considered racist. If the hecklers were white, what would he have said? He just went off and let out feelings that he had bottled up about black people and now we all know that he is in fact racist. Hopefully his career is finished cuz i never thought he was funny anyway

I saw the video on youtube, and quite honestly it reminded me of when Lenny Bruce was melting down. Except Lenny Bruce had been much more incisively funny before his breakdown. I really think Richards ran across some old Lenny Bruce films, and was trying to get some attention, by copying one of the groundbreakers.

I don't really care about suing anyone. It is too easy for me to ignore those other guys.

Maybe Michael Richards' episode is "jumping the shark" on cheap racist humor.

My thing is that I am not offended by these terms. I find it very funny that a black man thinks i am a "cracka"

i also laugh when blacks refer to themselves with the "N" word.

Chris Rock has a funny statement about it, but i can't repeat it here.

they can but they wouldn't win sadly we live in a world of double standards and besides Micheal Richards was trying to be hurtful after he was heckled.you can say he was provoked but if your not funny than some jack@$$ is going to heckle you and if you can't take it you shouldn't be a comedian.
