I plan on hitting up the mall... I want to steal clothing, electronics, shoes, etc...
Is it easier to steal from a big store like Target or a smaller store like The Gap?

The biggest shopping day of the year is the Saturday before Christmas. You just missed the second biggest shopping day, the day after Thanksgiving. If a big store is really busy you can steal anything, but check the exit first. Sometimes they post a nasty security guard there.
The electronic inventory control tags they put on clothing won't set the alarm off if you wrap them in aluminum foil. You can take them off at your leisure when you get home.
Shoes are easy. Just leave your old sneakers and walk out in your new boots.

Steeling is really annoying and I wish you wouldnt. Some of my friends went into Hot Topic and stole a bag and went to Spencers and stole stuff and put it in the bag. Stealing from big storescould be better but places liek Walmart has cameras everywhere to watch their employees and make sure their doing a good job.
Dont Steal but thats the best way.

A big department store for sure because there aren't many securities around and the store is bigger

it depends on the prevalence of security cameras and security guards, and how comfortable the employees are. it would probably be easier to not steal at all, and that is what i would suggest.
