People who do blue collar work (or "poor", as you so arrogantly put it) have far more substance than yourself. Why don't you take a step back and look at the other end of the spectrum. Why do rich people have kids when all they do is ship them off with some nanny on a daily basis and spend all of their free time doing things for themselves, expecting that all will be forgiven when they buy the child a nice gift. That child may forgive but they will have an extensive amount of issues when they are older when they see that not all families work this way. People may be poor and have children, but a child only needs love and recognition to grow into a wonderful adult. The children of poor people can also realize the value of a dollar and learn how to work towards an amazing future that their parents never had. I would much rather be the child of a poor person who shows love and faith in the future than someone like yourself who should think about what would happen if tomorrow you wound up without a job or truly worked for a living doing honest work like a real man. I certainly doubt that you have even thought anywhere beyond your close-minded ideas of society and the issues that this world faces. If you really have negative thoughts about poor people, then do something to change it. Be a positive change in this world, get off your computer and go help someone not as fortunate as youself. A little hint. Its called COMMUNITY SERVICE.

there are many many questions to 'why' people 'do' things. And everyone makes choices that no-one else may understand or even be able to comprehend. everyones' ideas and choices are different..you cannot classify all poor people into one category.
look at poor people in poor countries....they may earn 20 $ a month making them richest in their community and they survive.
Unfortunately in today's society, and it is very sad indeed, some people are still not aware or educated enough on many things.
some think you cant get preg. the first time, or while breastfeeding, or even while taking birth control methods.
In some countries the people refuse to wear condoms because they beleive the americans have tampered with them and covered them with the AIDS virus....so they are scared of condoms.
people lose jobs everyday...not expecting to have less income when the child is born. people get raped and pregnant and some people are just not concerned about possiblities until it is too late. And yes, some people are selfish and dont deserve to have kids.
Alot of people just have dreams and goals and make them happen regardless of what society classifies as lower level income. If your life becomes complete with children, you will do what ever you have to do to make the child's life as wonderful as you possibly can.
It's easy to judge others when maybe you really should be reflecting on yourself and understanding the reasons to your thinking and what your own problems are.
good luck trying to understand that everyone doesnt think like you.

Because whether anyone feels they have the right or not they do and just because they can't give everything to a child doesn't mean they don't love their child as much as a rich person. My husband and I are in a high income bracket our kids are fortunate they wear the best clothes have the latest toys. We have the big house with horses and the swimming pool my daughters best friend lives in a small 3 bedroom house with her parents and 5 siblings, they do not have new clothes all the time or the fancy toys and computers but they are clean, well behaved kids that will do anything to help anyone and guess what they are happy, their happiness isn't determined by a bank account but by the love they get at home. I taught my kids from a very early age that people are just like books never judge one by its cover because inside might be the best thing you ever saw.

You know..as a wife and as a mother of a beautiful 22 month old daughter (on disabiltity), and on state assistance, I find that question very offensive. There are several reasons why poor people have babies..and some of them they can't be helped. Some womans pregnancy are surprises as mine was. I did not find it selfish and unfair to my daughter. I work hard to keep a roof over my daughters head, food in her stomach, clothes and diapers on her body and I give her all the love in the world, while I am looking for work. I know several people that are like me and they would agree that your question is very selfish and offensive.

Maybe they have babies for the same reason you ask these foolish questions...or spell "Rab" with hears at the front and back...but if that is the case, we will never know what the reason truly is because illogical clowns like yourself make no sense.

Try the 'Clubbing in Shiny Shirts and Hitting On Chicks While Dancing to Daft Punk" section...it's probably more up your alley.

Mercy! what a question!!! whether you are rich or poor should not matter. As humans we are born to procreate..it is a natural desire and occurrence. What is poor in your opinion may not be in the eyes of another. There are many less fortunate people that give way more love to their children than those that are wealthy. Money isn't everything. A newborn baby could care less about how big you bank account is.... but he or she is tuned in to the amount of love and attention given which costs nothing. So the bottom line is...poor people have babies because its nature!!! and its nothing wrong with it so long as it eats, sleeps, poops, and smiles!!!!!

I am raising a child with very limited means, my husband works soooo hard to make everything work out and we are happy people. My son is fed and clothed appropriatly and we have family that loves us enough to help when they can. Our son does not suffer at all! He is actually very advanced for his age and very healthy! It really hurts me to think that people actually feel the way you do! Having money may help, but it shouldnt be a determing factor in who can have babies and who cant! For an example, I was a nanny for an extremly well off manhatten family. They were very involved in their childs life but i noticed at her 3rd birthday that only 4 other parents showed up! the rest of the adults there were nannies! "rich" people arent as fortunate as the less off to enjoy their children, be involved in raising them, just be there for them! They are too busy keeping the cash flow going. My family survives. We enjoy our son with every breath we take and he is our world and i cant wait to have another child. money or no money they wil be taken care of even if I have to go without. I honestly feel my child is luckier then the children of rich families. So think please before you make any more hurtful and ignorant remarks because people are making it by everyday and are very happy~

I now a ton of people who would rather have been raised poor and showered with love and belonging and support than to raised by "rich" people who ignored them and were never there as a family. The definitition of good parent isn't based on their economic status it's based on the love, care, and teachings they give their children. So stuff it and dont have kids yourself...they'd be poorer than the lowest ethiopian infant.

Because the poor are the same as people with money. They are human beings. Maybe money is not everything to them, and just because you dont have lots of money doesnt mean you have a terrible life.

how is that? I was poor and had 5 sisters. You cant control peoples sexual urges. You cant control it if you love one another. just because you are poor, doesnt mean that you cant raise a child. I had a wonderful childhood and my parents were amazing! Not only that but my older sibling is making alot of money and is very well known. when she was 17, she had a child and was poor too. She busted her butt and now she is well off. Having a kid when you are poor means that you will struggle, yes, but it doesnt make you a bad parent.
