To a party for my friend on Sunday...its her birthday party she's rich and all her prep school friends will be there...and we have to wear skirts/dresses.
Any cute, fun, dressy but not fru fru ideas?

depending on wear you live try to go to rue 21...or pac sun..or charlotte ruse.or something like those kind of stores.

You should wear a denim jeans skirt with an adorable, layered off the shoulder top. To play it up, have fun with ultra fab bracelets and necklaces. Well, I don't mean go accessorizing crazy, but maybe a nice locket or two and a bunch of cute silver bracelets. The shoes, the shoes - pointy toed pumps look adorable with anything and the makeup, if your skin tone is a lighter shade then try out smoky eyes with ultra awesome clear lip gloss. Now, on your hair, since your clothes are a little on the party casual side, upsweep your hair for the total "business beauty" look.

I would wear a just below the knees type dress that doesnt over power your beauty. I usually tend to go with pastels or light colors. As for the blouse do a loose blouse that hangs down just enough to cover your shoulders.Since I don't really know your complexion I can't really tell you what color would look good with you..It mostly depends on colors that you like. Also a nice pair of earings/necklas/pin will help fill the outfit out if its to plain.

just go with one of the mainstream upscale brand dresses like DVF or BCBG. you can't go wrong; preps aren't very creative and all their stuff will either be from there or from laundry. and then just wear pearl earrings.
