Interesting question. The best thing about this moment right now, is that it exists. I choose to live my life in the moment, and do not dwell on the past, only looking toward the future. I have a motto, "The best thing about the present is that it is a gift". I look at the world and see problems, and social concerns, but the absolute best thing about right now is that I am blessed to be here and with those I love. The holiday season is here, which alway brings out the best in most people. The best thing....I love and I am loved.

A couple of good things I would mention are:
1) More or less decent worl status (could be better but also could be worst). So far, there is not world wars or some kind of holocaust.
2) The priviledge of access to tools like internet where we can use for sharing knowledge, communicate with family and friends, work remotely, etc.
