when i come to red light the heat gets cool

The thermostat is stuck in the open position, replace it and you problem should go away. If that doesn't work, move UP to a FORD!

Bad Thermostat, Low on anti-freeze. A 2005 is still under the GM factory warranty. Have the garage look at it, it should not cost you anything.

Change the thermostat out and flush the radiator and that should cure your problem. If that doesn't solve anything then take it to a dealership because like the other guy said it should still be under warranty. For a little while longer anyway....
