How can I turn on an LED using my own PC?

I mean by parallel port (printer port)
Please explain step by step:
how to connect the LED to the port?
how to make the computer turn it on.
and I know assembly and C well.

Do you mean a light emitting diode?

well youd have to figure out the pinout of the port then connect the led to it accordingly
