I have a dark purple winter jacket and I want to get a scarf to go with it. I have two colors in mind- green and orange(yellow), which is better? Or do you have better colors to suggest?

Of the two, green is probably the best, but if you're kind of an "out-there" girl to begin with, go for the orange, it'll match your personality. Red would also look nice with the purple, and of course, when in doubt, black and white go with everything.

honestly, with dark purple... BLACK.

I wear that combo with dress black slacks and a long-sleeved dark purple shirt... get many compliments.

only a slight few variations of green (like teal, aqua, turquoise) will mesh with purple, especially dark purple. I should know I am a Diamondbacks fan, although they shed their skin and now have yucky Sedona Red and Sonora Sand colors.

some blues also go with dark purple and of course, red.

orange only goes with royal or medium purple - and as much as I love my Suns, it's not a combo I'd regularly wear. an orange scarf, however, would look kinda cool - at least there would still be some warmth to your face. yellow in the winter next to your face looks awful. FYI - very few people look good in orange or especially yellow, except some Autumn or Spring complexions.

purple is definitely my fave color, followed bi blue, black, red and green.

P.S.>>>we do not not know if you are male or female... that could refine the answer greatly having such knowledge. I'm assuming since you are asking an outside opinion, you are male... females usually already know this stuff... we guys are essentially clueless when it comes to color matching. lol

White
black
light purple
light pink
cream
light light yellow
light blue
grey
light pastel green
beige

if it is a light green, go with that. Since the coat is purple, already a rather vibrant color, you shouldn't wear the orange because that too is a vibrant color.

I would definetley say a very light blue.
Orange and green are too pronounced,
Theyre the opposites of purple so they would make each other stand out, you'd look bright and a little like sport's teams colours.
Light blue contrasts purple without being too polar opposite and bright and looks feminine.

Green is prob the best of the two but both will clash a bit. I know black is boring but at least it goes with everything so u could try black? Or maybe a bright pink. That would look funkier.

Green would look great, orange may be a little too Halloweeny. Either fuschia or sky blue would look pretty as well.
