If you could live your life over, would you? What would you change and why?

Let me modify your question (based on the wisdom I've gained)...

If I could go back to age 18, I'd want to take along my 40-something brain. I've learned far too much the hard way -- with very expensive price tags -- to leave that all behind.

If I knew then what I know now? I'd go to work for 3Com or Microsoft straight out of college, or at least buy a sh*t load of their stock. I'd skip the first career and the degree that I got perusing that career, a degree that I'll never use again and will make payments for another 10 years.

I'd avoid lots of the issues I had with employers because I now know who I am, and I've learned how to make that work in various situations -- there would be urge on their behalf to mold me in their image.

In other words, I'd have the advantages of my life experience (and, granted, the baggage from some bad experiences) in an 18 year old body... woo hoo!!!!!

I'd still marry the same person I married at age 18, and still go to the same college, and still study much the same things at that college.

I wouldn't change anything in my life because each experience has contributed to who I am.

There are certain times in my life that I would love to revisit (1991 was a very good year), but overall I would not want to live my life over again.

I wouldn't change a thing. It all lead me to the point I am at now which is complete happiness. I have learned much from even the bad things and failures and it's made me stronger.
