Gene Autry sang the original recording in 1949.
It was originally a poem written by Robert May in 1936. The poem was put into a coloring book that was given away by the Montgomery Ward company as a promotional item. Between 1936 and 1946, over six million copies had been given away.

i like Rudolph the crimson-Nosed Reindeer, in all hazard because of the fact i've got have been given no longer seen it in for a mutually as. yet i like the two. I actually stated Frosty the Snowman on television, and as quickly as I stated it became on I squealed with excitement! Lol
