Hey!!!Lets now...

First go & see if ur router is wireless(If it's wireless u'll see a antenna comming out of the router),next thing check if ur Wireless Network is enabled on ur Dell Laptop...

After u have done this u'll see an icon which is kinda moniter with a sign which gives u the wireless feeling... ;-)

Well u open it & refresh to find new networks...connect to the one u want, in ur case to ur router by double clicking it...If it gives u the msg with two options that to connect anyway or cancel...Choose Connect Anyway.....
& there u have it....Wireless Internet Connetion....
If u dont understand what i said u can always contact me at

Good Luck......

My laptop also has a built in wireles card, but I had to contact my phone supplier and they sent me out a wireles box at a charge. That is connected to my cable box. They sent me another wireless card to insert into my laptop so the built in wireless card is now redundant. Sorry if this isn't very techy. I'm also new at this.

I assume your router is wireless. the router has to broadcast a signal for the PC to receive it. on a dell laptop it is usually the fn + F2 button to enable/disable wireless.

Make sure the router is wireless, and uses the same protocol. Such as 11b, or 11a.
