Mind you, this is an authority figure; I just can't pout and say I'm sorry. The hardest thing would be to look at him in the eyes, cause he really intimidates me.

It is very difficult, but IF you are truly sorry you will be a better person for looking him in the eyes and giving a heart felt apology. You will have reservations, but do not chicken out. You will feel much better once it is over with. Keep this in mind, "what is the worst thing that can happen?". If he does not accept your apology, you are still the bigger person. Good luck.

Then don't pout...simply look him in the eyes and say "I'm sorry I did so-and-so" and then maybe go on to explain why you know it was not the right thing to do or say.

Apologizing is a tough thing to do...bravo you for wanting to make the situation right...it takes a big person to admit they were wrong.

Perhaps in a letter or card...at least to start with. Admit to being intimidated by this person because he is a authority figure. Good luck! I'll say a prayer for you.

First of all: Are you really sorry?..Cause if ur not u better dont tell him anything...and if he's such an authority figure there must be something wrong with him...most authority figures I know have some unfinished bussinesses in the back of they're minds.

The best way to apologize to someone is being honest.. just talk to the person who's upset with you and show him/her that you are really sorry.. It's better to face the reality than losin a friendship.. Good luck :)

Why are you sorry? Did you really do something you are sorry about? Was it your fault? If so, then so go up to the person, like an adult, face to face, and say...I realize that I was wrong for doing such and such...I do apologize. blah blah blah.

Be sincere in your apology...it will go a long way.

You can do it!

well, I was the same way. i remeber just yesterday was in aacademic suppport class, and this guy that I like was right in fromnt of me sitiing down, and I was tallking to him and everyhting , and then when i got up, I accadentallly hit this guys fooot,, and thhen he sayed ouch! and I was like OH i'M SORRY. and then he didn't answer me from there. so idk, but i think that he considered it to be a " that's ok" kind of thing. the only thing I can tell you is forive when you were wrong, or did something. and accept what they give to you. forgive ness is the keyy thing. without one, it wouldn't be right.

I think a phone call with a sincere apology should help. It would show that you really mean it. I have tried e-mail in the past, but it has not worked.

Be sincere and tell that person you're sorry. Then tell him please forgive me. Wether or not you're acknowledged is ok. That person still heard you. When he calms down he may even apologize to you for getting upset, or blowing up at you.
