I`ve been using ebay for a few months and have never had any problems, although i haven`t given my bank details or anything as i just use cheque or postal order to pay for my stuff.

Don`t give your password out and watch out for dodgy emails saying their from ebay asking for your bank details.

As for buying the notes i`m not sure if thats allowed or not but i`ts not as if your buying an essay or something it`s only notes.

I've bought and sold on ebay for a while now, and it is as safe as you make it.

1. Only use Paypal! You are protected that way and it's much harder to be ripped off.

2. NEVER use/reply to any messages that come to your email address. Use ebays message system located in " My Ebay". There are a lot of spoof/fake emails sent to your personal email claiming to be ebay.....but a lot are not, they are scammers trying to get your personal info. If it's not in your ebay messages on the ebay site..DO NOT OPEN IT!

3. Always read a person's feedback before buying from them. Even if their score is high, read how they respond to any negative/neutral feedbacks they've received. You don't want to deal with someone who name calls and throws insults or whatnot.

4. Just read all auctions carefully. Some devious sellers put things in fine print. Read every little thing in the auction.

Good luck and just be careful!

A couple of things to bear in mind:

1. Make sure you buy from someone with good feedback - preferably 100%.
2. It's a good idea to set up a PayPal account to pay for items or to receive money if you decide to sell anything.

PS Read Sunnyshine's answer...it's more complete than mine.

If someone found out, and they do, you would become discredited.
It will not help you since even if you succeed you could never live up to your claims.
In the end it is easier and quicker to learn rather than copy.
It doesn't mater how large or complex anything is because everything is made up of small pieces and learning one piece at a time is easy.

Ebay is as safe to use as anything else on the Internet, especially if you use paypal to buy things. As for using someone else's notes for your coursework, as long as you're using them as reference (in the same way as you would a textbook) and not copying them, then that's find. As someone intelligent (can't remember who) said, 'To steal from one is plagiarism, to steal from many is research.'

Safe as no-one except the person you are buying from/sending to can see you e mail, just make sure it isn't someone who is working for the education people trying to catch cheats who is offering them for sale.

Only buy from sellers who have a good feedback (over 99%).
