In looking at the ocean I don't sense the curvature of the earth as much as I do say traveling by car into Denver, CO from the east. It is really noticeable at that point.

For sure - given good visbility. The best way to really experience Earth's curvature is to watch a ship coming: first you see the top of the mast, then more of it and finally the ship (or boat) itself.

no i don't. i only see waves. i only look at the ocean for a minute then looks up to the sky. do you notice the Earth's layered atmosphere?
