These lyrics seem to contradict themselves until you listen to the bridge. his female singer says that 'it will all turn to dust and we'll all fall down, sooner or later he'll be screwing around.' Meatloaf says he won't do that. So in other words, He will do anything but cheat or hurt someone, for love.

He declaring he gained't damage or cheat is what I understand. because in between the verses she says "finally you'd be taking section in round", and he says "I gained't do this" so i imagine it really is what "that" is, yet it really is purely my opinion. large music although, perfect?

I don't know, but I have always wondered. I'd like to know, I like the song, and that one part always confused me! I just read 740dbear and it sounds like it might be right, I forgot about the bridge!

I've wondered that my self....it could be many things...but my interpertation is that he suggested a 3 way...and she said ok and brought home another man....not exactly what he had in mind...but he wont do that!!!!
