I am 51. I had a hysterectomy 14 years ago and in the last 3 years my pubic and underarm hair has become very sparse. Is this something other woman can expect with the menopause. I thought i was a very open person and talk about everything with my friends but none who are my age have ever told me this. Is it usual?

I noticed my mother's pubic hair was sparser as she grew older (I was her care provider). I believe it can be, if there is a feminine hormonal imbalance. You may want to get a saliva hormone test if you want this checked out. I have consulted with an endocrinologist in the past, who ordered this at my suggestion. I was found to have high testosterone - which is the likely cause of my hair over abundance. Wish I had your problem.

Yes it is usual...I am 48 and I experiencing all this symptoms. Even though I didn't have hysterectomy. I started experiencing my menopause at early age of 35.
