As the first says. Drain the radiator, it easier if you remove the radiator (More room to work) it not hard. Remove the fan, then the belt it help hold the fan and then water pump. Replace in order of removal. Use an antiseeze on the bolts when you replace, if, you intend to keep the truck a long time.

It's really not that difficult to do yourself. I will try to explain it here but if you need pics or still unsure as to how to do something go to the parts store and buy a repair manual that pertains to your truck. First there is a valve at the bottom portion of your radiator. Carefully turn it and antifreeze will come out so you can drain your radiator and not make a huge mess. Next there is a tensioner pully there should be a slot in it to place a 3/8 drive ratchet in there and take off your serpentine belt. Next take your fan off. You may even want to take off the upper portion of your fan shroud (the plastic piece above your radiator, so you have more room to work with. After all that take off your lower radiator hose that connects to the water pump. Sometimes it can be a pain to get off because it kind of corrodes itself on there. Also be sure to put a catch pan below because there will be antifreeze going everywhere real soon. The water pump itself is bolted on there by four bolts. They should all be either a 9/16 or 15mm bolts. With a pry bar or large screw driver carefully pry off the old water pump. Next take a good gasket scraper or razor blade and scrape off the old gasket from the engine block. With your new water pump in hand take the new gaskets and take some spray adhisive and spray the ports on the water pump and apply the new gaskets to that so they will stay in place when you bolt the pump back to the engine block. Next clean up the four water pump bolts up with a wire brush and put a small amount of thread sealant on the bolts then bolt on the new water pump. Hook everything back up just like you took it off in the same order. Remember to tighten your radiator valve and pour in the antifreeze. Make sure you mix it 50% antifreeze and 50% water. When you can't pour any more antifreeze in the radiator start your truck. Add antifreeze as nessacery. Your temp. will get really high (this is normal because you installed a new water pump and there is air trapped in your system). When your truck's temp gets really hot and you feel the upper radiator hose and see that the thermostat has opened up get a couple of rags (so you don't burn the crap out of yourself) and slowly and I mean slowly open your radiator cap. You should see the antifreeze go way down because the thermostat has opened up go ahead and put more antifreeze in your radiator. Replace the cap and test drive the truck. When you are done with your test drive check for leaks and when the truck cools down check your radiator and make sure it's full. Hope this advice shed a little light on your water pump problem. One more thing don't do like the other guy says and remove the radiator. That is unecessary and a waste of time. You have plenty of room to work it's a 93 Chevy pickup for christ sake. Just be careful not to slam any tools into the radiator.

First take the upper part of fan shroud off(10 mm) socket, then it will be simple. 1/2 inch wrench, long screwdriver, 9/16 deep socket, 6 inch 3/8's extension and 3/8's ratchet, and I don't remember what is used to unload the belt tensioner, maybe a 15 mm wrench. You'll need a drain pan and a gasket scraper too. Some channelocks or good pliers to squeeze rad hose clamps. Get after it, man.

What the last guy said. Also the upper and lower halves of your fan shroud will be stapled together, cut the staples out then unbolt the upper half and remove.

Take all the stuff out of the way, hoses and belts, take the bolts out and put the new one on.
