Meredith mentioned in Grey's Anatomy last night that Geore had been called "007" by the other interns...I remember that episode, but for the life of me I can't remember what he had done to deserve the nickname. Please help, it's driving me nuts!

In the first episode of the series, Burke chose George to do a procedure, an appendectomy. When inverting the stump, george pulled to hard on the strings and wound up tearing the tstrings and making the area around the appendix contaminated. Burke had to step in before the patient went septic and possibly died. Up in the gallery, all the other interns were betting on how long George would last before he had to ask for help. Meredith had george's side but Christina was a nay sayer. When the strings toar she labeled him "007". Alex filled in "Licensed to kill". It relates to the fact that all doctors have to have a license to practice medicine. It also relates to James bond but only in so far as it uses the tagline "Licensed to kill". Meredith brought it up probably because she forgot who came up with the label. After all, this season Meredith did have George do her appendix thus overcoming his nickname.

in one of the first few episodes ever im not sure which one, one intern is choosen by burke to be the first intern to scrub into a surgery. George was picked. everyone was betting to see how far he could get and he actually was doing pretty well but then he got nervous and broke a string or something and messed up but he didn't kill the person. Burke took over and kicked george out of the o.r. This is why people call him 077

Americans are dumb. They don't have lorries, a bonnet is a hat for children, they don't have a king or queen, a boot is a type of foot covering, they don't have water closets, and when the worlds most popular game started to be played there, they called it soccer because the name football had already been taken. And someday they will get FIFA changed to FISA.

licence to kill. He killed someone while helping in on an operation where several patients died during a shift. I believe that it was also the episode where any suppersitions came out, like with Burke and his surjical caps.
