It has old babe ruth stamps and also some stamps from china or japan not sure i have had it for about 7 and don't know what to do with it

The Babe Ruth stamps are not really old by stamp standards, however; they were probably issued in 1983 - if they are 20c, blue. Stamps have been issued since 1840, and anything since World Wra II is considered "modern" by many people. Not necessarily worthless, just not "really" old.
