You need to find out when you are ovulating. The best (easiest and cheapest) way of doing this is to take your temperature every morning when you wake up. It will rise when you ovulate (around the middle of your cycle) and will stay higher until your next period. Once released your egg remains viable for fertilisation for just 12-24 hours.
Also keep an eye on your mucus. It will become stretchy like egg white as you approach ovulation. Sperm can surivie for a max. of 5 days in this most fertile mucus.
It is recommended to have intercourse every other day in the week before you ovulate and then for two days after.
Make sure you are taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid to give your baby the best start in life. Also, try not to get too stressed, stress delays ovulation.

Usually within two days of ovulation, while the egg is still travelling down the fallopian tube! You need to find out when you ovulate by recording your normal temperature daily for a couple of months. There is usually a rise in temperature when you ovulate!
If you are trying to concieve the best advice I can give you is> Stay as relaxed as possible about it.

You get pregnant when you ovulate! If you have a normal 28 day cycle you should ovulate around about 14-16 days after your period. Then is when you would want to try for a baby.
But you cant rely on just that alone because everyone is so different.
you can...
check cervical fluids
check your cervix
take temps every morning
use ovulation predictor test kits
ferning tests
then you would chart all this stuff on a web site called fertility friend.
Sperm can live anywhere from 3 to 5 days
don't have sex every day cause its lowers quality of sperm.....Do it every other day.
Stress can cause you not to get preggo so try to enjoy it and not stress about baby making!
Good luck!

When you're relaxed, not trying, and enjoying sex.
Or if you want to make it harder and try to control it, you need to establish what day you're ovulating, and try to have sex around that time.
The average is day 14, but most women dont fit that cycle.

Stretch your vaginal mucous between your thumb and pointer finger. If it is long, thick, stretches, hangs between your two fingers, and won't break, you're ready. It worked for me!
