I need to check a pcs for virus and spyware without installing the software. I am doing this as a business, so I can't install my copy of software on everyone's pc.

Is there a place that I can pay for service to get up to date software to check these pcs without having to install them?

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at

There are online scans, which might do the trick.

I take the customers's disk drive out of his machine and attach it to my computer with several scanners installed. Then I can scan his disk without instlling anything on it.

Well, what you can do is connect them to a network. If the drives are shared on the target pc, then you should be able to scan it with your pc. Don't know how legal that is though...

make sure you have norton then check usin that program
