I layed my husband's check out overnight so that he would sign it before he left for work, and when I woke up, I found that he had signed it on the wrong end. Will the bank still deposit it??

They should... but regardless of the answers to this question, you know you'll take it to the bank and try anyways.

They will still take it. If you only want to deposit the check, all you really need do is write "For deposit only" on the back. If you plan on cashing it, they should take it regardless of which end is signed.

If you are going to deposit it into a joint checking account that has your name also on file you can sign your name. In Massachusetts if the money is going into that kind of joint account you can sign his name instead (since the law lets you sign as long as your purpose was not to defraud).

Yeah, they'll be happy to let you deposit it and they should cash it as well as long as you have money to cover it in the bank.

I don't think they really care which end it's signed on.
