The original version (produced in 1981) is out of print and very difficult to find. You'd have to try places like eBay or collector's and hobby shops.
Avalon Hill printed a revised version in 2004 which can be found in most game and toy stores. This version has a slightly different map, new units, and new victory conditions among other changes.
Easiest way to tell the difference is the 1981 version is a green box, the 2004 is in a blue box.

I'd say one of the best places to look would be eBay.
I just did a search on eBay for Axis and Allies and it came up with 103 items in the board game category. So that would probably be your best place to look.

Depends on whether you want the original game or one of the newer versions. For the original, you're best bet might be E-Bay. If you want one of the current versions, either A&A Europe, A&A Pacific or A&A Miniatures, most hobby game stores have it in stock. Your best bet in any case is to hit a local game store and take a look to figure out which you really want.

If there's any hobby stores around you, they'll have it.
A lot of Hobby shops tend to sell the pieces, accessories, and the game itself for s decent price.

just the other day i say it at on eBay and walmart also at menards the tool store for only $3 i was about to get it buy I left my walet at home came back the next day and it was gone!!!!!! *sniff*
