You could google his name for free, but unless it is a rare name, you will get a lot of other people with the same name. And your person may not appear on the web at all.

Reunion.com has a lot of info. you can go to your local courthouse and do a lot of digging to find out info on people for free... Like trying to find a lost relative or something. it's possible... just time consuming.
