I got mine done about two weeks ago , I have to say I made myself sick worrying about would it hurt. My pain threshold is very low so I just knew I was going to be in extreme pain. So I get up the courage and bring my best friend with me the guy cleans and marks my belly button I lay down and a clamp was placed on my navel, he quickly puts the sharp thing threw . I feel him putting the barbell in but it was so quick and I honest to god felt no pain. He was like sweet heart you can breath its over and I was shocked I thought he had not started yet. Now I have a pretty pink barbell and all that drama was pointless, the worst part is the healing so make sure you clean it very well with like H20 wash saline solution and you can do a warm salt water wash put salt water in a shot glass hold it over your belly and shake shake shake. Good luck and its so worth it !!!

it depends on who you are. my sister didnt hurt at all but my bestfriend had alot of pain. I dont think that you will because unless you have a low tolerance. It will hurt if you do it more than once because of the scarring that is left behind. Make sure that you take care of it too. My other friend didnt and it got infected... not a very pretty site.
Choose a clean tattoo parlor. They are more sanitary than places like Claires. (even though I doubt claires does that sort of thing.)
Be prepared in your mind and you should be okay.
Take care of it. please. nothing more discusting than a green and bubbly belly button with a dolphin jumping through it. :)

Not really got mine done about 6 years ago. They will use a curved needle and it will hurt like a typical shot in the arm. BUT you must be willing to take care of it....clean it until it heals Don't let it get infected. have fun with it..

Yeah, the clamp hurts the most because it's on the longest. The needle hurts but its quick. I didn't faint or anything. The pain afterwards is managable, just don't let your shirt get snagged on it.

oh yeahdidnt hurt me into they stuck the needle in the clamp hurts a little. and after i got it it hurt for a long time afterwards especially when u try to clean it.

No, I've had mine done 4 times! I've got 3 kids and every time I was pregnant I had to take it out and it healed up.Go for it!

it depends on ur pain tolerance. i got mien done and didn't even felel it. i had one friend who said it hurt liek osme oen pinchign her. andother friend baleld her eyes out for like half an hour. it all depends on what ur perosnal levle of pain tolerance is. it may or may not. but if done right it shouldn't hurt and at them ost it shoudl jsut feel likea pinch fora seco r so.

well i passed out when i got mine done and thats ONLY because im terrified of needles. it just feels like a big pinch and its really uncomfortable for about 3 seconds. its not terrible and its so worth it.

I haven't done so myself, but hopefully will soon. But I have heard that it can hurt pretty bad :-/

it depends on your tolerance for pain but all my friends who got their belly pierced said the pain was bearable
