My Bank of America credit card gives me 7 days to mail the payment back to them before it is considered late. Shouldn't that be illegal. All other bills give you more time to mail a payment.

Not ilegal, but not nice.

If you can't pay online, get a new card with a different company. Or telephone them and ask them to rearrange your payment terms. I did that once with Citibank's AT&T Card. If they could do it -- and they're the most incompetent of them all -- then anyone can.

In fact, after paying $X millions to buy the card and all its customers from AT&T, a few years later Citi abandoned the whole program, and kicked out most of the cardholders.

They are give you an addition 7 days after the due date. Your credit application is a contract and you agreed to the terms. You can't complain about it now.

Sign up for online payments...it is so much easier anyway.
