It was a spoken track about a woman buying a dress
Its not Bob Newhart but it sounds 1960's ish

I remember that show very well, we had our lunch between 12.30 and 1 pm everyday just so we could get back to work to listen to Paul Burnett, the only song I can think of is, The Devil made us do it by Golden Earring, hope this helps and good luck.
